Albert L. Cimperman Sr., age 95, entered into rest on August 18, 2014. Born in Cleveland, he was a lifelong area resident. Beloved husband of the late Zora (n̩e Predovich); loving father of Albert Jr. (Patricia), Josephine Hendrickson (Jeffrey), Timothy (Lee Ann), Michael, Joseph (Barbara) and Frank (Jeanette); cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Frank, Lauren, Cari, Nicholas, Rachel, Andrea, Alexandra, Maxine, Brian, Dawn, Michael and Grant; great-grandfather of Sophia and Owen; dearest brother of Edward and predeceased by siblings Pauline, Frances, Mary, Frank and Esther. Albert was a decorated World War II Army veteran who served in 6 major campaigns. After his military service, he started his career at the Chevrolet Plant in Parma, where he worked until retirement. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, line and ballroom dancing and many volunteer activities. He most enjoyed spending time with people, especially his family. His ability to tell jokes was legendary, along with his knack for charming everyone he met with his humor, kindness, and humility. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church (corner of State and Snow Roads, Parma). Family will receive friends in the church from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will be held on a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Albert's name can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
