David Cairns entered into heaven on October 22nd, 2024 at the age of 81. Born in Cleveland to the late Floyd Cairns and Pearl Packard (nee York) and raised by Louis Packard. He was a cherished brother of Barbara Ward (deceased), Vernon Cairns (deceased), and Beverly (Angelo) DeCaro; loving uncle of Susan Brobst (deceased), Debbie (Michael, deceased) Long, Mark Brobst (deceased), Christine DeCaro, Angela DeCaro, Danielle (Joshua) Baisden and great uncle of Roberta Kiser, Phillip Long and Hailey Baisden; dear friend of Maria Cairns Yuras.
David was a gifted and accomplished mechanic, who could build anything from a trike to a race car. As well as, provided the maintenance for the vehicles of many of his friends and family.
He had an artistic talent he displayed through his many creative outlets including drawing and crafting, wood and metal work. Not to mention, his wide array of custom hand made fishing lures he created. Inspired by a love of fishing he shared with his brother, Vernon.
He shared an especially close bond with his younger sister Beverly and was always an amazing presence in the lives of all his family and loved ones.
David was a compassionate, gentle, caring, loving man who touched the lives of everyone he encountered and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home, 5677 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
