EUGENE GALANDIUK, beloved husband, father, and brother passed away at his home on February 20, 2024, at the age of 75. Eugene was born on August 08, 1948, in Germany, and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio.
Throughout his nearly forty-year tenure at Ford Motor Company, Eugene exemplified dedication and hard work. Prior to his career, Eugene bravely served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the Army’s Wolfhounds regiment, attaining the rank of sergeant. His service was marked by valor and commitment to his fellow soldiers, earning him both the Air Medal and a Bronze Star.
He was preceded in death by his wife Olga, and parents Jaroslaw and Anna. He is survived by his sister Oksana (Ron) and brother Michael (Susan), his children Markian (Courtney), David, and Erica as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
In his leisure time, Eugene found solace in the great outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting and fishing excursions with his cherished friends. His passion for nature and camaraderie brought him joy and fulfillment throughout the years.
A viewing will be held at Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home Sunday March 3, from 5 - 8 pmwith a service at 7:30 pm. Eugene will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday March 4th at 12:15 pm (PLEASE MEET AT CEMETERY BY 12:00PM). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to VFW Post 5137, or a VA Hospital a cause dear to Eugene's heart, in recognition of his unwavering commitment to his fellow veterans.
