Irene Pavlyshyn

Irene Pavlyshyn (nee Barber) age 100 passed away peacefully September17, 2024. Married 57 years, beloved wife of Emil (deceased). Loving mother of Mary Pavlyshyn. Devoted sister of Mollie Alstott (deceased), sister-in-law of Olga Kytasty (deceased). Loving friend of many. Irene taught middle school physical education and science for the Cleveland Public Schools. She volunteered at Deaconess Hospital, The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and was a dedicated member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral for many years. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024 from 5 PM – 8 PM (PARASTAS 7 PM) at Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home 5677 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral 5913 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Interment Brooklyn Hts. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Irene’s name can be made to St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
