Judith Nash

July 27, 1940 — February 2, 2025

JUDITH NASH (age 84) of Cleveland, OH passed away Sunday, February 2nd, 2025. Beloved mother of Joe Lally (Karen), Lisa Lally Umina (Dave), and Judi Jensen. Loving grandmother of Rachel Gabella (Anthony), Kailee Naglitch (Phil), Ashley Gibbons, Casey Thrall (Zach), JC Gibbons, Morgan Lally, David Umina, and Megan Umina. Dear great-grandmother of Landon Thrall. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dear friend to many loving friends. Also survived by her cherished dog Ember and several adored grand-dogs and grand-cats.

Judith was a loving mother, cherished friend, and passionate sports enthusiast, leaving a legacy of love, resilience, and memories. Born on July 27, 1940, in Chippewa Township, PA, she spent her childhood surrounded by her four siblings, playing sports and creating lifelong memories with her sister and best friend, Bonnie.

After marrying William Lally in 1963, Judith embarked on a journey that took her to Las Vegas, NV, and San Bernardino, CA, before ultimately settling in Northeast Ohio, where she built a fulfilling life. Most recently, she resided in Old Brooklyn, Cleveland, OH.

Judith’s professional journey led her to a career in accounting, where she worked for over two decades at Cleveland television stations WUAB Channel 43 and WOIO Channel 19 before retiring at the age of 65. Prior to that, she was a dedicated homemaker.

A woman of many talents, Judith had a passion for the arts, expressing her creativity through ceramic painting, clay sculpting, and crocheting. She also had a remarkable green thumb, tending to her garden with care and dedication.

A true music lover, her playlist was always lively, often played at full volume. She found joy in Motown, Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Christmas music, with favorites including Otis Redding, Al Green, John Lee Hooker, Eric Clapton, Donna Summer, Tina Turner, Bob Seger, AC/DC, and, most recently, The Teskey Brothers.

Judith had a lifelong passion for sports. A devoted Cleveland Browns and Guardians fan, she was often found in the cheering in the Dawg Pound or at the Terrace Club, sporting her signature team gear. She never missed a game. Judith was a fierce and competitive Fantasy Football player in her family’s ‘We Are Family (WAF)’ league, where she was known for her strategic plays and animated game-day calls.

She found immense joy in spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dogs. Whether picnicking at the park, relaxing by a fire, watching sports, or floating in the water, she had a great love for nature, especially Lake Erie. She frequently visited waterfalls, took boating trips, and cherished moments by the shore.

Above all, Judith was a woman of incredible strength and faith. Her mind over matter philosophy defined her tenacious spirit. She believed in miracles and lived her life as proof of their existence. Those who knew her will forever remember her humor, strength, and resilience.

Judith’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

An intimate Requiem Mass will be held for the family. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Family will provide details for to all who wish to attend the Celebration of Life.
