Julia Trotch

Julia E. Trotch (nee Stefaniuk), died peacefully in her home on November 17, 2024.

Julia was born in Mychulychyn, Ukraine, on January 22, 1934. Her family left Ukraine in search of safety at the start of World War II. After the war, Julia and her family made their way through Ellis Island and on to San Antonio, TX until they settled in Newark, NJ. There she met and married Michael, her husband of 50+ years. They eventually relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where they raised a family of 3. Julia was a talented seamstress. She made anything from simple to intricate clothing for herself, her children, family and friends. When her children were in their teens, Julia acquired her real estate license and went on to have a successful career in real estate. 

She was the loving mother of Olga Wutsch (Marty), Myron (Lynn) and Natalie Strouse (James deceased); grandmother of Tamara Wutsch, Larissa Strouse and Luke Sheaffer. She is the daughter of Petro (deceased) and Kataryna (nee Sorochmaniuk) (deceased), dear sister of Tanasia Sorochmaniuk (deceased) (Hania deceased), John (deceased) (Ann), Michael (deceased), Bill (Stefania), Anna Kakis (Peter), and Maria Murray (Tom deceased); and a host of nieces and nephews in the United States and Ukraine.
