Sandy J. Petechik

SANDY J. PETECHIK (nee Pelletti) age 94. Our treasured mother passed away peacefully, July 2, 2021, after a year of declining health. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Sr., their sons: infant Charles Jr, and adult son Charles “Chuck”, her parents, two brothers, two sisters and their spouses. Sandy is survived by her loving and devoted children: daughter JoAnn (Ronald) Dudik of North Olmsted, daughter-in-law Gwen Petechik of Indianapolis and Timothy (Amy) Petechik of Strongsville and her grandson David (Gina) Dudik of Shaker Heights and her great-grandchildren Carlo, Luca and Mira Dudik. She is Aunt Sandy to over 80 nieces/nephews, great-nieces/nephews, great-great nieces/nephews and two great-great-great nieces. She will be deeply missed by family and many friends. After her husband’s sudden death over 50 years ago, Sandy worked for the Bay Village Schools in their high school cafeteria. She was a resident of Fairview Park most of her adult life. She bowled and played BINGO into her early 90’s.

A Mass in her honor will be Celebrated at St. Clarence Catholic Church (30106 Lorain Road, North Olmsted) on Saturday, July 17 at 10:30 a.m., (EVERYONE MEET AT CHURCH), followed by a luncheon in The Church Gathering Room. Her final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park at a later date.
