STANLEY P. KOWALCZYK, also known as "Stash" and “Stan the Man”, age 71, born April 13, 1948 in Heilbonn, Germany, passed away October 31, 2019 at Holy Family Home. Son of Antonina (nee Raus) and Tomasz Kowalczyk; brother of Christina (deceased) and Bruno; Cherished husband of Eugenia (nee Bordun) for 49 years; proud and caring father of Michael; godfather of Amy Farkas (nee Bordun); brother-in-law of Nestor M. (deceased) and Bette (nee Peebles) Bordun; loyal uncle of Katrusia, Hania, Joey, Tammy and Joe (Sosoka); long-time friend of Joseph and Marusia Fritzky (nee Clover and Kateryna Clover (nee Feborowicz). Stan graduated from South High in 1967 and attended Ohio State. U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran (Airborne) 1969-1971. Member of USO and The American Legion ADM. Post 888. Stan was a Cleveland Police Officer for 40 years and worked for AIU Fatalities, Community Response, Airport National Security and President’s Detail. He was an avid trivia master and loved to tell stories. Everyone loved Stan.

Friends call at THE KOLODIY-LAZUTA FUNERAL HOME, 5677 STATE RD., PARMA, SUNDAY 5-8 P.M. PARASTAS 7 P.M. Prayer Service at the funeral home Monday, November 4 at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy at Pokrova Ukrainian Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment Pokrova Cemetery.
