Taras Kowcz

TARAS KOWCZ (63) of Sagamore Hills, OH passed away on Monday, January 31st, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Oresta Kowcz (nee Hryciw). Loving father of Lucas Kowcz. Dear brother of Roman Kowcz (Alexandra), Petro Kowcz (Oksana), and Daria Jakubowycz (Marko). Caring nephew, cousin, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Taras had many talents and was many things. He was a chef, an artist, an athlete, an animal whisperer, a Plast Ukrainian scout camp organizer and leader. But most of all, he had a deep desire to help others, and an immense ability to make others smile and laugh.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sun. Feb 6th, 2022, from 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm, Parastas 7 pm at Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home 5677 State Rd. Parma, OH. Funeral Service Mon. Feb. 7th, 2022, at 11 am at St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church 7701 Hoertz Rd. Parma, OH (please meet at Church). Interment St. Andrews Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in memory of Taras to Plast Camp-Pysanyj Kamin (“Friends of PK”), or JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research).
